Welcome to the documentation for Omnisoot.

Omnisoot is an object-oriented computational tool for simulating the gas-phase synthesis of carbonaceous nanoparticles, including soot and carbon black, in reactors. It can be used for both scientific research and the design and optimization of commercial processes.

Omnisoot supports a variety of particle dynamics, inception, surface growth, and oxidation models, which can be combined to perform targeted simulations in plug-flow, constant-volume, partially stirred, and pressure reactors. Gas-phase reaction mechanisms are handled through Cantera, which is used to calculate the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of the gas mixture.
